Have you read David's JAWS guide: http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Audacity-1.3.13-Guide.html ? The noise sample does not have to be long. If you import the file then you only need to press Space to start playing it. Press [ as soon as you hear the start of some audio that is only noise, then immediately press ] to capture the selection, followed by Space to stop playback. Press Space again to play the selection. > Also, will this add on allow me to repair and replace damaged audio > on the video? FFmpeg allows you to import audio into Audacity from video files rather than using Switch to convert the audio to WAV first. You can use Noise Removal and other tools in Audacity to clean the audio up. FFmpeg will let you export to the same audio format that the video was in originally. This is important, because the video format you have may not accept WAV for the repaired audio. You can download MediaInfo to find out the original format the audio of the video was in: http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en .
