Thanks Andrew,
I should have been more specific in my email.
You are so right.
Basically everyone from the developers to the freelist contributors like
yourself are fantastic.
I would still be floundering if it wasn’t for you all.
Thanks again to all.
Adrian.

Let’s not forget the efforts of the Audacity Team. When I first tried using
Audacity it was largely inaccessible to screen readers. Since the release of
version 2.0 in March 2012 Audacity pretty much stands alone as a multitrack
recorder that is highly accessible. I started using the beta long before the
official release and continue to be mighty impressed with the ongoing efforts
to produce such a capable product that is both free and fully (to all intents
and purposes) screen reader and keyboard accessible. While scripts can add
some convenience, it is the immediate accessibility of Audacity that is so
impressive.

Yeah,
It’s pretty cool we have people like Gary & all the others who have been
involved in the Audacity for the blind project.
Until I started using Audacity & found the freelist site I really struggled to
do recording on my 8 track.
Great job to all.
Gratefully yours,
Adrian
PS: yes, a bit soppy but I do mean it.

Excellent! It might be worth following Gary’s GitHub site to see when there are
new releases available. Sometimes changes happen super quick and other times it
can take ages. Gary is a busy young man on top of his excellent scripting work
he does to make Audacity more usable with JAWS.
He certainly jumped on this floating control ID issue right away. Thank
goodness!
Peace,
David
