Lisa, While the page numbers should not have been stripped if they existed, Bookshare doesn't require that page numbers be in a book, so that isn't a valid reason for rejection. It's also possible that they didn't exist in the first place, though not likely. Still, I have seen a book which had niether headers or footers, including page numbers. I'm validating the BSO copy of The Devil's Waltz by jonathan Kellerman. The over all text quality is Okay. The major problem I see is that there are no print page numbers associated with the text. I'm guessing that the page numbers were stripped along with the headers. I'm considering rejecting this book because of the lack of print page numbers. While it's unlikely that anyone will be using this book for scholarly purposes, I feel like print page numbers should be preserved with all submissions, not just the ones considered academic in nature.
