What software/hardware are you using? If in some way you are using jaws (i.e. jaws with word) then you can press insert+4 (that's four on the numbers row) and you will get a list of characters to choose from. Press enter on the character that meets your needs. The three a characters you get are: á Á and æ. Hope this helps. p.s. even if you're using a program like kurzweil or openbook to proof with, there are ways to get these characters into those programs. Just let us know.
