Open office does not work with speech. Also, we have been advised not to edit in Wordpad in case somebody wants to work on rtf files in it. Wordpad does not apparently save formatting.
So you will need to use k1000, Word, Open Book or MS Word to edit rtf files if you use speech or braillenote or packmate or other braille display for notetaker users.

There is also a free program called Open Office that you can get at openoffice.org that works like Microsoft Office and it can open and save rtf files, for anyone who doesn't have Word.Jamie in Michigan Currently Reading - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J.K.
