Hi Monica, Well as to scanning directly into it. What O C R program do you use? I've been using Fine Reader and Omni-Page, putting out a regular rtf file, then openning it in word. Yes word will accept the scan directly from both programs. but I prefer to have the file produced outside of word. It's not really important accept that I usually convert several books at a time. I'm not using a flat bed scanner. Tom

Hi, Tom. I have Word. I can't actually say that I've ever tried scanning directly into it though. Hmm. I'm not sure that it would make a difference since Openbook would still be my scanning program that works with Word. Openbook does interface with it, but that just seemed like it would be asking for more trouble. I could be way off base though. I'm clueless on this one.
