Hi,
I'm proofing a book from Oxford University Press. Unusual in this book is
that page numbers are italicized. My practice with every book I proof is to
manually or globally remove any page headers/footers, and make sure page
numbers are at the top of every page and are correctly numbered. In this
book they are at the top but are in italics.
Does the internal software that processes our submissions correct for this
and automatically change these numbers to normal? So far I am manually
changing each page number but what if I forget (as I might) once in a
while)? Just checking in hopes that maybe the software can correct for this.
As a dedicated proofer I am of course willing to do this manual work but
maybe it's not necessary? My goal is to do a book with no need for human
intervention after I finish with it.
