Here is the update from this past Friday, in case you missed that one!
For any new files that are being proofread and sent to the Approval Queue, the
queue is now back to working normally. We believe this to be true for files
dating back to the beginning of November. The Approval Queue team will be
working on approving new books, as well as working through the November
backlog. This is a partial fix for only these new books coming to the Approval
Queue. We are still working on the fix for older books that are waiting on the
Queue. The engineering team is currently working on this, so we can be fully
back up and running.
So to expand on that, new files dating back to the beginning of November and
moving forward are working normally, but we are still working on a fix for
older files that have been on the Approval Queue. This is why the order of
approved books may seem a little odd as they come back to you. I hope that's
more clear, but let me know if you have additional questions.

We've gotten several of our recent books approved and are wondering what's
going on. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to the order they're getting
approved. We have a whole series that has been languishing in the queue for
months. We just don't understand why this isn't getting fixed. If there's an
issue with the volunteer program and we need to know something, I wish staff
would just be transparent with us and tell us.
