Hi Folks,
I agree with Sue. I used to be able to hear whenever an E came in,
announcing the âfromâ and the subject; I really liked it. Now it only gives a
timy little beep that I donât even hear most of the time. I do, though, check
my email at least three times a day. Please keep in mind that none of us are
just sitting here answering email all the time. Thanks!
Marty

I think sometimes people post to the list and are a bit too impatient to get
answers. They email you, and before you have a chance to respond, answers come
in from the volunteers on the list. So I am just suggesting a little more
patience on the part of those who have questions posted to the list. This is
not meant as a criticism, just a reminder that the people whoo have the answers
need a bit more time to read their emails and see the questions posted.

Hi Netta (and everyone),

As others have said, if itâs clear that it is a journal or diary entry, I donât
think you need to label it in brackets. Those are mostly used to show something
that is obvious for a sighted reader (such as a picture that is removed where
there might appear to only be a blank space) but that might not show up with a
screen reader. Please use your best judgment.

Anyone is always welcome to contact me offline with questions, although I
greatly appreciate if you ask the discussion list first. Not only does it allow
others to see the question and potentially learn from the answer, but it also
allows us to pool all of these great resources. There are so many volunteers
have been around for a long time and have lots of knowledge that everyone can
benefit from. Additionally, there is just one of me and many of all of you, so
sometimes asking this list can be (unfortunately) speedier than asking me! I do
read each and every post, but Iâm trying to only comment if something is
incorrect or if staff input is critical. If many people correctly answer a
question, I donât feel the need to jam up the list with yet another comment!

I greatly appreciate everyoneâs input to this list. I think we are so lucky to
have such a hardworking and dedicated group of volunteers with so much
knowledge that they are happy to share!

Thank you all!

Best,

OK, Thanks Roger, Sandy, and cindy. I will put the asterisks to indicate the
journal/diary entry and have taken out the asterisks in the other places since
there was not extra blank lines between scene jumps. This book is over 500
pages long and while I have completed reading through it and did all of the
proofing stuff, I am only waiting for answers to the questions I have asked, it
is ready to be submitted. I will wait and see what Madeleine says about the
bracket to indicate the diary/journal entry. You know do or not to do...?

Again, thanks
