If you still have the book file you could check to see if the synopsis you got from Amazon is the same as the book jacket material if that was included in the book. It is perfectly acceptable to use book jacket info from the book. the only issue would then be whether you said your synopsis came from Amazon. Of course if hat wasn't in the file your rewrite solution is the only option.
