I haven't been through the mail so you have probably been answered already--the answer is yes, you can. Or you can put asterisks or something else on the line in front of the chapter title. As to moving page numbers, for a validator who reads as she validates, it's no big deal. When one gets to the bottom of one page one simply deletes the number and adds a space, the number, and another space at the top of the next page--two seconds or less. It takes less than the space of a breath. But that's just me. smile It's probably easier for a validator than a scanner.
