In Ranked spellings,  F7 announces the word and frequency.  CTRL-L spells 
the word.  There are shortcuts for all controls in the dialogue.  Press F1 
on any control for info.

You can also have it spelled with control 'l' and control shift control
'l'. This is the system I use.
