Speaking from my personal experience, the biggest difference is that the 3800 
is a little faster. The reason I had to switch as I was using it in Boot Camp 
on a Mac, and I had problems with the lamp turning off in Windows on a Mac. 
They have a patch for it that works on most machines but not on a Mac.
