I am sorry that bookshare is planning to hire more staff in a brand new
area before its present staff concentrates on solving present long standing
issues. Of course bookshare is a shared project, fueled by the good will
of many many volunteers. We need to remember that there is share in the
name, org in the title and that the agenda is a group effort as many have
so righted noted.

Gerald, thanks for explaining how the advisory group works. I do understand that some technical knowledge is necessary for the group to work. I don't know half of the people you mentioned since they are not on this list. I know a couple of them by reputation only. I'm glad to know that the group is balanced and is advocating for us. I'm sorry to hear that the Bookshare staff isn't able to make some of the much needed changes at this point. It's still a project that's worth our support because it's a legal way for blind people to share the efforts of making books accessible. I hope things will change for the better soon.
