Good point Ann. I am fortunate to have both MsWord 2003 and Kurzweil 1000 to proof with. I always start with word to do a few things you can't do in Kurzweil like changing m dashes to dashes. That's when your tip would come in handy. Kurzweil remembers where I left off so I don't have to.Oh yes, the first thing I always do is make a new copy of the file so I willalways have a backup. Thanks. You can put it in the filename, or just make sure that it's in the first page of the proofing copy so you won't forget. I always make a proofing copy of a Bookshare proof. That way I've always got the original if I screw up badly enough to warrant deep sixing the working copy. Here is a small tip for a Monday morning. I put a line at the top of the working copy to remind me what page I stop at after proofing for a while. It just says: at nnnn whatever number I'm at. It's really helpful. Once I'm done proofing, I just erase the 'at' line. Makesit so much easier to use the ctrl-g command in Word to go back to my place.Ann P. -- Ann K.
