Well, I would prefer to spread the meals out too,, however, I work ten
hour days and am generally off on Friday, or at least part of Friday,
and so everyone keeps calling me. I think I could put a couple of more
meals in the day this year, which is odd since my family tend to
celebrate birthdays on whatever day is convenient for them, seldom on
the real day.

That sounds like a lovely way to spend a birthday --
although I will admit that I prefer to spread my
birthday meals over days rather than hours (smile).
As for the book, you can renew it and put off dealing
with it until even after the weekend. Don't
stress--you should relax before your birthday so you
can enjoy it more (smile).
