Cindy,

While you can't remove all paragraph marks, you can search and replace the
end-of-line hypin marks and the paragraph mark with just the paragraph mark.
You will still preserve the original para-mark.

E, I understand the problem. Of course you can't just find and replace the
hyphen because that 
would close up words that maybe shouldn't be, and you can't do the same with
the end-of-line 
paragraph symbols because that would eliminate all paragraphs as well.  I
know of no simple 
solution.
