Kellie, Thank you for writing the directions for getting rid of line breaks. You've done it way more than I have, and I really didn't have the time or mental capacity to write anything about it then. I need more sleep and less immune system activity here. :-) Paula, Kurzweil should be able to indicate blank lines if you want to hear them. If you have Kurzweil version 8 you will find the setting for this feature in the verbocity menu under tools. They can be ignored, can be spoken, or cause a chime. If you have changed this setting and it still does not work, I really don't know what to say about that, since I haven't wanted to change mine. You can also have it pause at the end of paragraphs, so that you can identify paragraphs that have line endings in them that don't belong, but again I don't know how well this works because I thought it might drive me crazy, and I haven't edited many books with that problem in Kurzweil since I got this version.
