Hi Carrie,
I just got a message that they removed my copy, probably because the other copy had fewer errors which is fine. IT wasn't a personal message of course, just a prepared one for that type of situation. So that's fine, but I just checked the book here and it has 282 pages but the one that they left says 221 pages so maybe it is just a miscalculation as you say. Anyway, I hope it's complete for the person who wants to read it.
Thanks for all your input.

The program that computes the number of pages in a book is wrong frequently but not always. For example, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is 784 pages long, but the database says it's 1598. I've pointed this discrepancy out to them, so there should be a fix sooner rather than later.

Another bug is that when you do a simple search for the word 'fabulous', one of the results is "Leonard Bernstein" by "David Ewen". The word 'fabulous' is not in the title or the author or even in either synopsis. They're working on that one too.

Hi Carrie,

Thanks. The thing that baffles me is that my copy shows about sixty more pages than the other one.

The name of the book is Yesterday's Spy by Len Deighton. I'll tell Claire, who can remove one of the copies.

Thanks for the catch Bud!

.Hi gang,
.
.I was starting to read Yesterday's Spy when it started to sound very
.familiar so I checked the list again and found it twice both by the
.same author. I had submitted one of them and somebody submitted the
.other one. The interesting thing about is that mine had 281 pages
.and the other one has about 220 pages. Wonder what happened. I'm not
.a reading member so I couldn't download them to see what was going
.on. Some time if somebody has the time and inclination they might
.look at them and see what you find.
.Thanks.It's getting harder and harder to find a book hat my wife
.brings home from the library that isn't already been submitted.
.Thanks.
