Hi, Dean. I haven't seen an answer to your question posted and thought I'd make sure your question gets an answer. Your book will not be rejected if headers aren't formatted correctly. However, having headers or page numbers done correctly makes the book easier to read once it's converted to the daisy format. To work with the Bookshare tools, leave a blank line before and after each page break. Then put the page number at either the top or bottom of the page in the manner that is present in the book. So if the page numbers are at the top in the print book, we would have a blank line, the page number, a blank line, and then the beginning of the text. If you are using Microsoft Word to edit your book, there is a shortcut for doing part of this. Press control h for the find and replace dialog. In the first field, type ^M which is the symbol for a page break. In the next field, the one that says replace with, type ^p^m^p and then choose to replace all. This will replace every page break with a blank line, page break, and a blank line. It's much faster than doing this by hand. Kurzweil may have a similar way of doing this, but I don't know how to do it in that program. I hope this has been helpful to you. Please ask for clarification if I have explained anything poorly.
