Hi Julia,

I've had some books that I can scan as Monica does, and some where the print
is just that tiny bit too close to the spine so that I get the same results
that you get. I have found that it varies from book to book, and I just
have to test each paperback before scanning the whole thing and see what
works.

Mayrie

Hi Monica. That makes sense and is indeed what I've tried to do with several
mass markets, but as yet I haven't found one that doesn't chop off the
letters at the spine of every other page. Hence I always had to scan in two
page mode to get a readable copy. If you can scan this way, and clearly you
can, I wonder what is happening so I can't.

I should ad here that before I got my computer formatted I installed the new
drivers with the same results. ----- Original Message -----
