Sarah,  

I thank you for your input, but it seems, if I
understand you correctly, that no one thing will be
perfect for all types of readers.  Whatever I do,
though, the paragraph indication at the end of the
last line of the paragraph stays. If I understand the
part of your post that's below, then the reader can
format the book as he/she wants it.   I'm glad to kow
that.
