Rose,
As others have suggested validation and sumission are different
processes handled differently by the BookShare server. Whether you have a
DSL, cable, T3 line, dialup modem, etc. it matters little. Time differences
are the only thing that will be affected by connectivity speeds.
Either the system isn't liking something you are attempting to tell it,
there's a firewall or internet security programmed turned on somewhere, or
your browser is causing a problem.
At this point I would attach the corrected copy of the book in an email
to Gustavo gustavo.g@xxxxxxxxxxxx and explain the situation. When things
have settled down a bit you can try again with a different book and if you
encounter the same trouble perhaps Peter can help advise you as he probably
has gotten folks with the same problem before.

One final thing I can think to try. You should add BookShare.org to the
trusted sites zone in Internet Explorer. Perhaps IE on higher security
settings blocks the back end server that I believe BookShare uses for
validation processing.

Again, it most likely is some little thing that is causing a problem, as
a computer new/old, fast/slow and connection of any type can access the site
successfully. I'm sorry that your first validation attempt has gone this
harried.

HTH,
Jake
