Hello all
I just found out last night that Chris Millar, a regular contributor to
this forum and a close personal friend of mine, died unexpectedly and
suddenly of a heart attack last Saturday night. My heart goes out
especially to his wife Soni. Their love was deep and beautiful. He died
with her at his side after dancing earlier in the evening. So difficult! So
painful! So beautiful!
Chris trained as a doctor with me at Melbourne University. He was always a
genuinely unselfconscious eccentric with a wonderfully contagious belly
laugh. He was a loving father and husband. He was very open to
unconventional approaches to medicine while retaining a healthy respect for
science. He had a never ending curiosity and read widely. He was loved by
his patients, his family and his friends. He died too young and will be
sorely missed. This is a moment to remember Chris and the other
contributors (Dee Yoh, Diane Yankelewitz, Jo Fenwick to name some) who
have passed on in the 10+ years of this forum, and to be thankful for their
contribution to this field. We grieve you Chris and one day we will join
you and have a belly laugh together again.
