Maria,
Can you give some examples of these situations? Thank you.
I would say that for me, the fight is not a physical one but a choice in one's
mind. I choose to live. Still one may die but the mind is actively opposing it.
I wonder that if the mind chooses flight in a circumstance that is a not
physically one from which one can flee, then one may choose to give way to
emotional fear.
These are ideas I have been deeply considering over the past few weeks. Flight
can involve a partial flight as when one chooses not to feel pain or emotions.
The body and mind seem to operate on slightly different channels. I don't know
how to say this. You have seen people who have had major physical trauma yet
feel no pain. I believe this can either be a natural thing or that one might
choose it consciously.
When I found my cat the following day, hiding in my basement, she had gone
into freeze. When I touched her and tried to lift her, it seemed she might be
dead. Do we have exactly the same response system as the four-legged ones? I
am not sure. I hope this thread leads to deeper insight on some of these
current theories regarding trauma where one faces death.
Hugs to all, Anni
