Adding a detail to this thread about word constellation - in Polish language
is used very simple term "ustawienia rodzinne" which was translated from the
German "family aufstellungen" - as Polish facilitators have learnt about
this method from Bert and other German speaking teachers. If I'd try to
translate Polish term to English, it would be something like "family
settings".
Constellations - Polish use this word as the word "konstelacje" in astronomy
or astrology, but I predict that under anglosaxon influence in culture the
word constellations will be also applied soon to "ustawienia rodzinne" in my
native language.
I must say I prefer humble simplicity of aufstellungen, ustawienia,
settings.
But it looks like the word constellation lives its own life in English; Bert
uses this word when he speaks in English.

Hello,
I'm curious about how the term "constellation" came to be attached this
work. I have been told that the term Constellation is somewhat problematic
as it was translated into English from the German. Since I don't speak
German, I'd like to know the origins. Much thanks to anyone who can provide
information.
