Hi Orin,
If you want a great summary of the Field, and all references to fields,
genetics, epigenetics, quantum physics, and how the Field has more impact on
healing and information than our individual body/brain/family then check out
"The Living Matrix: The Science of Healing". I discovered this movie when I
was looking for more information on J. Oshman. He, and others including
Bruce Lipton - cellular biologist
Lynne McTaggart (author of The Field)
J Oshman
Rupert Sheldrake
Howard Martin (Heart Math Institute)
Eric Pearl (Reconnection)
Peter Fraser (NES)
give a great overview of how the Field holds information and how it can be used
for healing. Bruce Lipton quotes Einstein as saying that "The field is the
sole governing agency of the particle" and explains it as "When Quantum Physics
talks about the Field, it says that the character of matter is ultimately
determined by the Field."
Eric Pearl says "We are the Field"
and Lynne McTaggart quotes some research done with rats that emphasises that
science still does not know where memory is stored in the brain, and that
memory (and information) are probably stored outside the brain, probably in The
Field"
There is one reference in the movie that talks about the genetics of cancer and
how the current approach is that it runs in families; however, even children
adopted into particular families will develop the same types of cancers : so it
is the environment, and hence the field that has the strongest influence. I
particularly liked that bit of info because it relates so well to Constellation
work: anything in the system is affected by the system.
As for a demonstration: I saw a great little demonstration given by Ah Fung at
the Australasian Pacific Constellation Training Intensive in January of this
year. He chose 5 people randomly and said "You are the father, you are the
mother, you are the first born child, you are the second born child, you are
the 3rd born child". He placed them in the standard order - father next to
mother, then the children in order of birth. He asked them how they felt in
those positions. Everyone was quite comfortable to accept those
roles/positions. He then simply swapped the mother and father and asked how
that felt for everyone, and then swapped a parent and child, then swapped
children in the birth order. The sensations were immediate and obvious: when
he moved anyone out of 'their position' the whole system was uncomfortable.
This demonstration took no more than 5 minutes and was very effective.
Love and light,
Suzy

Orin,
Sorry--I don't know why the formatting of my last post got messed up.
Somehow all the paragraphs disappeared and everything ran together.
Still the information is there.
Also I overlooked your question about demonstration rituals. In
Oschman's book (Energy Medicine: the Scientific Basis. Edinburgh:
Churchill Livingstone, 2000), on pp. 245-248, in a section entitled
"Demonstrating the Flow of Energy in Groups," he describes the
techniques he uses to do this. Many of them are surprisingly (or
perhaps not surprisingly) similar to things done in constellation
workshops, including a train of people with hands on the backs of
shoulders of the one in front of them--which looks like a kind of
circular ancestral chain. He doesn't understand the people as
"ancestors." Still I found it fascinating that Oschman, who is an
obvious scientist, came independently to many of the same things we do.
You might be able to simply adopt what he does for a classroom
demonstration. What seems to "power up" the group depends usually on
three things: focused attention, genuinely shared intention, and at
least some level of emotional meaning or urgency. People who could
care less, or are actively hostile to experiencing anything unusual--
will often, though not always, weaken the field.
Best,
Michael

What is The Constellation Call?

Hello Constellation Talk.
I'm new to constellation work and am currently attending a facilitator
training with Franchesca Mason Boring in Seattle USA. The presence
of the
field greatly interests me, and I'd like to know more about it and
what
people know about it, as well as other names that people who are not
well
versed in new age terminology might call it. If anyone has any book
references or a deeper understanding of what inhibits and what
enhances the
presence and the flow of the field I'd like to hear about it. I've
heard it
connected to terms like Zero point field and morphogenic field. If
you have
specifics on scientific experiments that are able to measure the
field I'd
love to know about them too.
Also, Constellation Work is part of my College *Independent Learning
Contract* at the Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington. I
want to
demonstrate the power of the field to my class at the end of the
semester.
Does any one know any simple constellation exercises that can
demonstrate
the presence of the field to the skeptic, and show how it can help a
willing
representative 'know' things that are true.
Thanks,
Orin Hardy
