Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I write today out of respect for Hilary Sullivan, her family, and all
those whose hearts are grieving.
Within a 30 minute period this afternoon, I had the following
experience:
- receiving an e-mail from Brian, Hilary's husband of 36 years,
regarding plans for Hilary's funeral and memorial service this
weekend;
- talking with Brian on the phone about his wife's sudden death; and
- reading this forum's dialogues about our field, life and death,
guidelines for working with constellations, etc., with questions
prompted by Hilary's death.
Please know that I appreciate the space that this forum provides for
exchange of learning and ideas.
Please also know that for those who have had heart-based experiences
or friendsships with Hilary, as well as for her grieving family who
may be reviewing Hilary's e-mail inbox, it is emotionally jarring to
read anything other than sentiments of love and grief about Hilary.
She has not even been buried; it is too soon, especially with the
suddenness and complexity of her death, for didactic, educational
dialogue in a website forum.
Thank you, deeply, for understanding the feeling behind my words.
