I haven't experienced this movement specifically but I am happy to
explore it. And since others have already emphasised the need to not
define, I feel quite safe to explore defining. The more experience we
have of the intricacies of situations to the point of enlanguaging them
in expanding ways the more we are able to be fully alive to what is
happening.
Maybe your uneasy response gives the clue to the meaning - Someone
turning around, looking in all directions? Could be someone looking for
the something important that might be missing - something so hidden that
there isn't even a place to focus, or something that wasn't in one
place, or some other reason for the movement. And if you remain uneasy
after the constellation perhaps it remained unseen/unrecognised - or
perhaps it was simply a feeling of not being able to control everything.
Families with entrenched loyalties to secrets sometimes only thaw very
slowly. Sometimes the permission to see is a long time coming and may
not be given in our lifetime - we are not so powerful even though the
process has that feeling of the miraculous about it sometimes.
It is an open question whether they would be the perpetrator or looking
for the perpetrator (or a completely different reason) it depends in the
individual situation - in your recent experiences how did it seem to be?
Did you place someone to represent what was being looked for? Would that
placement have made sense to the representative who appeared to be
looking? How did it feel when you stood with the person for a while?
What did the representative report about what they were doing?
A perpetrator maybe constantly looking around for a few reasons -
sometimes they live double lives so they need to be careful about who
sees them do what, or maybe it is a bit like the hunter and the prey,
feelings of defensiveness and looking for the next victim. Maybe there
can be a hypervigilance reaction to trauma, needing to feel in control
of everything, looking for safety....
