Dear All,
Firstly, thanks Chris for getting this email discussion group going.
I hope it will be helpful in guiding the development of the
constellation work in Australia.
Secondly, there is actually one (possibly two) others from Melbourne
going to ZIST from the Bouverie centre. They may also be interested
in joining this group. If so, how do they register?
Thirdly, I have a couple of comments regarding working with
constellations with individual clients. I used constellations with
individual clients for about 3 years before running workshops and I
found this a very valuable way of getting a handle on the work as I
was accumulating experience and training before running group
workshops. I found working with individual clients very helpful for
becoming familiar and confident with both the facilitator's stance
and the orders of love.
I use shoes to as representatives and tend to vary whether I, or my
client, "read" a position.
In response to Sarah, I gather that the need to access trance states
may be necessary for visualising a soul space in which the
constellation work may occur. Generally, however, I don't think
constellations in either individual or group work involves a typical
trance state. Although representatives are reporting on experiences
that are not their own, the usual signs of trance are not present. I
think the layer of experience at which systemic conscience operates
is quite different to those of most other states of mind.
Since running workshops I have reduced my use of constellations in
individual therapy as I prefer to do the work in a group where
reporting is more immediate and the possibilities of interaction
between representatives clearly richer! However, I still often find
it useful to work with clients in an individual setting.
