Something after my workshop in the US "From War to Peace: The Healing Movement
of Reconsiliation" in june in North Carolina. May I give first a general
introduction. As a German war is very near. My father was a soldier in Russia
and survived. I was born 1948. Even without talking a lot about war the energy
of what he experienced is much stronger in me that I would have ever believed.
It comes out once in a while in the last years in my illnesses and traumatic
experiences.
And, of course, I encounter war in many family constellations. The first layers
we encounter in constellations are most often the victims. There is death and
pain and suffering. And there are the perpetrators and murderers in a family
and
the children which carry their guilt.
What is beyond of that? Much more, it seems. One of my basic questions is: What
are the roots of war in mankind? There must be an enormous attraction for man
to
lead wars. This attraction must exist in men and in women. Otherwise it would
not be possible.
What could I see till now about this in constellations? Normally we see the
role
of women only as victims. But this is not the whole truth. Only in the last two
years in my constellation referring the 3rd Reich the layer of the nazi energy
in women showed up.
Very important seems: Fighting against war makes war stronger. I myself stood
once in the role representing war. What I experienced: People who did not see
me, had a contempt against me or fought against me made me stronger. The only
good way seemed to honour me and to bow before me (and this was so difficult
for
many) After I was honoured I could withdraw some distance.
In my two workshops in the States not so much of this showed up. There were
more
general themes about war and violence. In two very strong constellations of
afro-american women the first time for me slavery came up as a subject (maybe I
get still the transcript) I felt how much this subject is burdened. I even
avoided in the first constellation the word "slavery". So I hope the work will
continue in the afro-american community.
