Hi Floyd
Goran here

First try the following:
Alt O, then enter or letter M.
In "midi devices", check your device.

Then, Try the following:

1. Alt O then letter C.
2. tab 3times to: to "add a control surface".
3. with the down/up arrow key choose your controller in the list
4. tab once to "input port" , choose your control surface.
5. tab once to "output port", choose your control surface.
6. Hit Enter

Your control surface should now be added.

HTH

Goran

Hi

Did you check both places in sonar? There is the control panel where you add
and remove control surfaces. There you have to set input and output, sometimes
both are set to none. And there is also Midi devices under settings, I think,
where you can enable and disable midi ports.
I don't have really much time for doing things in sonar at the moment. but all
I can say is that I have a mackie universal pro as well and it works very well
so far. It's a joy to have some faders at your disposal. I never managed to
adjust some effects tough. Perhaps you know how to do this and could show me
sometimes. If you need more help in setting it up, we could check everything on
skype if you like. I also got a word file with the layout description some
years ago which I can send to you if you like.

Good luck
Ben
