yeah...I'm pretty excited if jaws works with this software. There are great
sounds for akai, and it'd be cool to have some access to editing in the
sampler, etc.

  Cool!

Unfortunately, for me, I've got one of the older c3000 XL's...

Akai has software on their website called aksys. Once you connect the
sampler via usb to the computer, you can access its functionality through that
software. I've very briefly messed with the program, but i seem to be able to
navigate through it using the jaws cursor. my unit is with a friend of mine
right now because he's transfering some files for me from one scsi drive to the
one i installed in the unit. i should have the unit back within a week or so
and can continue testing the software.

What software are you using to access it, & how accessible is it?

            Hi Steve,

I'm actually looking for decent libraries for my akai unit. This is
the first time I've eexperimented with akai, so i'm new to it. I know the
software I mentioned gives a user total access to the hardware sampler once
it's connected via USB to the computer. We'll just have to see how accessible
it is with jaws. I'll know more in the coming weeks and will keep anyone
interested updated.

              Hi Omar,

What's the saxophones and trumpets like on Akai samplers? are
they better
than the ones on dimension Pro?
got my horns section sounding quite good yet, it's still the weak
link in my
              songs.

I'd love to be using the samples found below however, don't
believe they are
              accessible.

Just enter on the link below go to MP3's, press enter on one of
them, now
press cursor key and arrow up or down until you hear jaws say,
"No
information available" press right mouse key and press enter. The
MP3 should
              then play.
              These samples are amazing.

Speaking of Akai, I just picked up an older akai s6000. Akai has
software on their site which enables users to work with the
sampler
through windows. Software is called the aksys software. I've
briefly
messed around with it with jaws, and it seems okay as far as
accessibility, although I had to use the jaws cursor for the most
part. Has anyone else messed with the software? If so, any
feedback?
