The best way to do this is to use the inspector, not the dialogue boxes.
Once you've inserted the effect, choose the preset that most closely matches
what you want then close the reverb effect dialogue. Next, go to the track
inspector and arrow down to the effects parameters. If the one you want to
automate isn't there then hit the application key on one of the other
parameters and go to the reassign submenu which gives you a full list of all
automatable effects.
The advantages to this method are that the controls are properly labled in
the inspector and move more smoothly and the changes you make are properly
reported. Also, in the dialogue box the windows "donk" noise keeps sounding
every time you change the parameter value. At least it does for me.
If you need to arm the effect then hit the applications key then "A".
CONTROL R activates the recording of parameters.

** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:-Hello from Germany,
I'm using Sonar 4.02 with CakeTalking 4.03. Now I'm trying to record parameter changes e.g. for the Cakewalk FX Reverb, as it is indicated in the tutorial that this is possible. I insert the Cakewalk FX Reverb into bus aux 1. I press the aplication key for that effect and see that "arm for automation" is available. I select all parameters in the apropriate dialog. Now I open the effect window and ... can't do anything. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help!
Regards, Axel
