Regarding the "Cake Talking" podcast,

Is this a recurring production, like Freedom Scientific FS Cast, or are we just referring to the one-time introduction to Cake Talking that Brian did?

If it was the one-time introduction, I remember track view, and buses, but did he talk about matrix view?

Thanks

Ben

Yes, that's possible. download Bryan Smart's podcast from
www.dancingdots.com and forward till you get to the part where he
talks about the matrix view. He did an excellent job demonstrating the
matrix view. You can then read the tutorial to get a better idea of
how to do it. Lastly you can experiment with it and you will
understand it.

The matrix view is organized into columns and cells wich you can add
audio to them. You can trigger entire columns and swop out cells with
a different loop or nothing.

Note, you can also coppy and paste. For example record 4 bars of a
drum beat and paste it over where you want it. If you change your mind
and don't want it in the beginning just cut it out. I typically start
with the hook/corus where a lot of activity is going on with all
instruments. Then I decide how I want the intro and build the track to
the corus by taking certain elements of the song out and moving to
proper location. That is how I start, and of cource get more ideas and
improvise here and there.
