Mike,

Are you saying it's possible to have the Plextalk Pocket voice guidance routed to the Plextalk external speaker and the playing WAV file routed to the external headphone jack?

Thanks

Ben

Jim,

One thing I forgot to mention, and this will be a personal preference, and that is that I prefer to use uncompressed audio for live performances. If you have a player that can read 16 or 24-bit Wave files, etc, I think you'll find that the overall sound of your setup will be superior - especially if you'll eventually be getting into a decent sound system. A lot of folks are using good quality MP3 or WMA files, but if you're doing things that have a wide range of frequencies and so forth, you might want to consider rendering your tracks to an uncompressed format. The duo I mentioned in my last message has a player that can read 24-bit Wave files, and they store their data on an SD card; and I do the same thing too. Believe it or not, I use the Plextalk Pocket for my player. It'll read 24-bit Wave files; the only thing I have to be careful of is that the voice guidance isn't too loud. I don't know of any of the other brands of talking players/recorders out there have features that allow you to have the voice not routed through the outputs. Perhaps someone on the list may have additional info on that one.

Hope this helps.
