[ddots-l] Computer and Audio interface/sound card for running sonar 8.5 producer

Hi all,
I’m planning on purchasing sonar 8.5 producer and cake talking over the next
few weeks but I don’t really know what would be the best computer for me to
get. I have a laptop that has 8 gb of ram and an i7 processor, would this be
sufficient to run sonar and cake talking? I’ve heard hat laptops are not the
ideal solution to run daws but any advice on what computer I should get would
be much appreciated as I’m trying to make a decision. Also what would be the
best audio interface/sound card to get? I plan on mainly recording multiple
vsts and singing as well. Also what would be the best imcrophone to get as well?
Any help with this would be appreciated.
