Hi Steve,
You might want to look at your startup menus.
Sounds like your system might take up a lot of resources.
On the other hand, if you are shutting down things such as your wireless
network, you might want to disable everything but jaws, then enable each
device, or program such as scanners in your startup group until you find the
problem.
