Hi Nick. Sadly, as the drums were prerecorded, I can't alter that, unless I smoothe out the compression I put on them. Thanks for the kind words about the track though. I liked it allot. My only cavil as a drummer is the pitch of the cross-stick which I thought should have been a bit lower for the pitch of the snare in the rest of the song, and the cheesy China Splash cymbal. (grin) But sonically it made me think of Grover Washington whom I saw in concert at the Hollywood Bowl with Stan Gets. (spelling?) and it reminded me of a wonderful Jazz Rock combo who played regionally during the early 70's and early 80's called the Lambamba Brothers. Well after your great feedback, I took this whole track back to basics. I kind of got carried away the first time round, so I've stripped down the track and I think it sounds much better for it. Much more breathing space... http://soundcloud.com/the-karmistry-project/finding-the-setting-sun Feedback as ever is always appreciated. Cheers Darren www.karmistry.com/
