I think I got the situation rectified. I honestly don't know enough about this stuff to begin answering your questions but I have it the way I want it for the time being until I learn more. And the best part is I know where to go to temporarily fix things if they don't stay. Thanks so much for your help.

You'll need someone to go into the global settings and se whether the
keyboard has been transposed. I gather that when you play a C, you get a D.
Is this correct? I also have the disease. Sounds like your keyboard has
been transposed. Is Local Off on your keyboard? What keyboard do you have?
Does it have any internal sounds?
Can you only play it when Sonar is up? If local is on and you can play the
keyboard without firing up Sonar, does it still play transposed? Are all
the sounds you're hearing from Soft
Synths? If so, are your tracks in Sonar transposed?

Hi!
I have perfect pitch. Now, when the technician finished associating all the channels to my sound card and software synth etc he told me that I would be playing in the key of C. Alright! However what my brain is registering with
me is the key of D, and when I play the notes of the key of C, I make
mistakes because the old cerebellum is telling me play it in the key of D
because that is what I am hearing.
Why is this? I do know that the notation for brass is slightly different so
are these keyboards set to how brass notes are named?
