Okay thanks. They still make the midi sport 8 by8?

I have a 5 in and out now, but like the midi patch bay. I like hooking
several keyboards up to have two different work stations. I have at least
two keyboard players on a session at one time.

If you're still trying to hook up those keyboards via midi, for sounds and
such, something like m-audio's midisport 8x8 or 4x4 (depends on how many ins
and outs you need) should do you well.

If you're looking just for a midi controller (a keyboard that you can play
and use to controll sonar and soft synths with assignable knobs, sliders and
buttons), m-audio has options like the oxygen line and the axiums, roland
has some, novation and quite a few others. I myself need to make room in my
studio, so I'm selling my oxygen 61 if you're interested.
But to use the keyboard's sounds you'll need a way to hook them up to the
comp, and that might require a midi interface, unless they like the psr s900
have USB that you can use for that purpose.

Hi all, Well I found the problem. Looks like my Motu midi express decided to
take a perminent vacation. So I had to hook up a smaller micro midi device
up. So because they are not making these devices anymore, it looks like I
will be making a change in the future. Chriss, can you explain about more on
your control surface? Does this mean that all you are using is a soft symth,
and just one controler?
If I have to reconfigure my system, I would much rather do it now then
later. Bryan, if you want to suggest some thoughts on this, and let me know
what types of packages that Dancing Dots has, I would love to hear from you.
I'm in the middle of a project that I must finish. Keep in mind, I don't
want to upgrade my whole system, I just want to find a better way to use the
boards that I have without going throu changes trying to configure my system
every time a midi device is going out.
The boards I have are, S 90 Yamaha, Motif classic, Kurzweil PC2x and Korg
N1.
Best:
James

Hi,
I find that also. I get to use the FireFace here at TSB in Texas, and if you
do not turn the Fireface on before Sonar, you'll get a hole bunch of nasty
dialogs before Sonar finishes loading. Really bad if I say so my self.
