Mike is correct. Just to add that with some interfaces you may need to
change the clock source and that's usually in the interfaces control panel
software. Having said that on the Mac if you temporally set the interface
as the system default in system preferences then you may be able to change
the clock source. You certainly can do this with older Saffire Focusrite
interfaces. Mind you with those interfaces we can also do that on Windows
anyway with an HSC set and Jaws scripting solution that I created with Tim
Burgess. Finally the Focusrite gear snapshots are written in what looks
like XML so you may be able to set-up different mixer set-ups etc by editing
that. Haven't had to do that here as can set-up what I want on Windows then
load them up on the Mac OS. Still I do need to change the clock source when
using my Focusrite MKII Dynamic pre-amps so the above-mentioned workaround
may or may not apply to you.
