Hi Stacy, Go to menu bar, tools, project, control Tab to metronome, Tab along until the set metronome as wav or audio (or something like that) and, if you want to hear it while you play, check that box with the spacebar and, if you want to hear it while you record, check that box. You'll notice the settings for changing the volume levels for the metronome cliks or pings. they should be fine the way they are. Then Tab to ok and that should do it. hth. Also, there are no bad questions, ever. Hello. I've enjoyed reading these post for the past few weeks. I wish I was as smart as you guys. I am somewhat new to Sonar 7 and will probably post many stupid questions in the next few months. My question is: I can use the hot keys to turn the metronone to a MIDI synth, but I hear nothing. (I've been using the WAV sound.) I assume I am to run it through one of my soft synths but I don't know how. Can anyone give me a brief idea on how to do this? I would appreciate any help. Thanks, S.B. _____ See how Windows connects the people, information, and fun that are part of your life. See Now <http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/msnnkwxp1020093175mrt/direct/01/>
