Hi. I use star burn to burn cds and dvds, it's totally accessible and it's
free. I had issues with both nero and roxeo, but go figure, the freeware
plays fine with jfw and my burner.

When you burn this, are you burning it to a standard red book audio cd? I'm
wondering if there is an encoder issue or something.

Cameron.

How did you guys get Nero to work? It came with a CD burner I bought and I
was glad so I installed it and it was completely inaccessible. The only
thing jaws would say is Nero Showtime essentials.

That?s it. Is Nero show time essentials different from the regular Nero
burning software?

Subject: [ddots-l] Mystery About CD Compilation

Hi there,

I have been compiling a mixture of MP3's and mp'4's onto an audio disk using
Nero 6. I am puzzled why the vocal and sax solos on both of these sound
compressed, really low in the mix and almost a ghostly reverb in some tracks
when I play the disk on a variety of regular sound systems only to get the
same result. I don't know much but I'm just wondering if there should be
some level that I should be checking in 'sndvol32' or some other dialog. I
am still using JAWS 5.10 and cannot check the default setting in sndvol32,
if indeed this is what I should be looking at, can anyone tell me what the
default setting should be or where I should be looking to find a solution
'cos it's driving me mad, or is it my old analog ears?

The files don't have that sound if I play them from my hard drive, only the
compilation CD itself. So it must be something I'm doing wrong in the disk
burning process I guess. Pretty please, what could it be?

Marée
