I have that recorder as well, and I enjoyed using it. I also have the DSS player software that gave me the ability to use the computer to transfer the date and time to the recorder. It has a lot of good voice guidance with it, but unfortunately it doesn't give you total access to the OS. If you have some vision, you probably can get away with it. It doesn't read file names or clock information; that might be important to some folks, particularly those like me who are totally blind. It does give you low and high beep sounds to indicate things like the beginning of a folder, or the first day of the month - or 12:00 AM. that's okay if you're not trying to set the darn thing up in a noisy situation.

The Olympus ds 50 with voice guidance and 274 hours of recordeing time and removable high recording microphone, and it is small real easy to use. I have it and it is one of those pieces of equipment that without it I just wouldn't do with out. You will love it Manyrivasma@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
