Hello, Mark.
I also am a new member and a new user of Caketalking and Sonar. With what
little experience I have, I must agree with what has been said. I like being
able to know exactly what I need to know in order to record my music. Also,
you will find the Caketalking tutorials helpful, and being on the list gives
you access to questions and ansers that usually are helpful.
                    Regards. Bobby Lusk.

  Hello, Mark. I agree with
everything Michael said. In the 90's and a few years after,I used a Yamaha
MD8, but RP soon took its toll to where screens were useless. I gave up my
songwriting hobby and just enjoyed playing in my band www.backroadsband.net.
Around 2005, someone turned me on to Dancing Dots and I toured their site. I
talked to Gordon and Bill for years, not sure if I should make the big step.
Then I did. I have had my new system with Sonar 7 since September of 2008, and
I have enjoyed every minute of it. No more drum machine, no more analog
keyboard recording, no external processors, and best of all--JAWS and the CT
scripts tell me everything I need to know. Being a singer and guitarist, my
knowledge of MIDI was so basic; but now I have a better understanding of it and
its practicality, thanks to the CT tutorial. I'm still learning as I try new
things, and ddots-l's current members and archived posts have been so helpful.
But I must say a special thanks to Mary Pat and Bryan for putting up with my
many emails and phone calls. So, take the big step like I did. I don't think
you'll regret it.

P.S. I toured your site. Good job! That is something I want to have of my
own one day with my own originals. Right now I have completed 3 projects, and
I have 52 left to go! ha ha
