I never had a listen to Mackie monitors in this price range but will do. I have
mixed on the BX5 and BX8 before and liked both but i saw a lot of negative
posts about the BX8 on the m-audio forums, guys saying they brake quikly, some
after 2 months some after 6 and some after a year or 2, but it's always only 1
of the pair which makes me wonder if it's maybe not quality issues maybe it's
just a folty unit like you get with any product. 2 out of 100 of most products
comes out of the factory with some folt.

That's the key. I have found that they all have draw backs. No matter what
you buy, you'll have to get use to them.
