Well, I will admit that they are a bit brighter than the original ms10 was, but that's probably a good thing. We're all getting older and can use a bit of help in the high end anyway, and I never could get what I wanted out of those really flat monitors. Remember those auratones back in the early 80's?

I've herd that they take getting use too, before you're able to get a good sound from them. Would be nice if you could keep me up to date with your experience and opinion of them.

Hello:
I just got a pair of the new Yamaha hs80m active monitors.  They are meant
to be an updated version of the popular ms 10 with power and a bit of tone
flexibility added and the are supposed to have less ear fatigue than their
predecessor.  I've only had them a short time but I really like them.  They
come with stands but I don't need the stands in my setup.
