I am not worried about people finding my site. I am getting lots of traffic
on the one I already have. I would just like to get back to making and
writing music and not entering peoples emails manually in to my list and
emailing karaoke tracks when people order them from my website.
A friend offered to do it all for free, but I want to be able to manage it
myself when he's done.

The kind of thing you want either will cost a lot in time, or a fair bit in
cash.
Most of it could be done for free, but you need the technical know how tos
et up a shopping cart system that can handle digital downloads etc.
How are you going to make sure that people find your site because it won't
happen either overnight or by magic.

I want to offer my cd's and future singles as downloads. I want to start a
blog. I want to automate it so that I don't have to keep monitoring it. I
want to be able to manage my mailing list with out using a third party like
Icontact or constant contact.
Things are really tight right now, money is definitely an issue so I'm

Much depends on your budget and what it is exactly you wish to do on your
site.
I wouldn't bother with Joomlar to be honest. It's over complex and not
great for accessibility unless you just want to use it out of the box with
no customization.
As for GoDaddy, well, it's erm, a hosting company. Most hosting companies
are pretty much the same.
They rent you some webspace and give you some fancy tools to work with and
they leave you to it.
The rest is up to you.

I know that there are many of you on this list that are website owners.
Which is the best hosting service for accessibility? My web designer
recommended Go Daddy. Has anyone tried it? He also recommended joomla for my
web content management system. Has anyone used Joommla? If so how was it? I
read a notice on there website stating that they will try to be as
accessibility compliant as possible, but they said that they will not be
completely accessible on the back end as of yet. If any of you have tried
joomla, what are some of the things that you can and can't do with jaws?
