Hi folks.

I'm mucking around with a plug-in that exposes its parameters to the track inspector, but I cannot get at its presets directly.

However, Loading one into Notepad, I find it's an xml file. The parameter values range from 0.0 to 1.0.

So, if I had say, a control in the inspector that ranged from 0 to 20, I could just look at the corresponding value in the preset I'm trying to demo, and do whatever math is necessary to the parameter value listed there?

I'm just trying to read and then duplicate settings to try out the various presets.

Has anyone else fiddled around like this?

thanks,

Chris
P.S. It's called slate Digital FG-X, and it's the most transparent mastering compressor I've heard, coupled with a very inteligent and powerful limiter. Sound on Sound did a review of it recently.
